 Firearms Department

Behind the counters (5) of handguns you will find Mark and every imaginable kind of ammunition; plus: scopes, mounts, holsters, cleaning kits, reloading components and targets. Under the counter, a wide selection of new, used and on consignment handguns: Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Colt, Dan Wesson, Taurus, High Standard, Luger, Harrington & Richardson and more . . .
  In the aisle racks: rifles, shotguns, blackpowder firearms and airguns. New guns, used guns, first guns, best guns, classic guns and meat guns. Single shots, bolt actions, lever actions, pumps and semi-automatics. Too many to list but enough for all your interests. Also parts and repairs inhouse and referrals to local gunsmiths.   The Archery Room

Bob has a fine new bow selection based upon his knowledge of the public's interest in archery and decades of experience as a competition archer ( for Oneida) and a hunter. Setup and tuning is done by Bob himself on the premises and is done properly. That means Bob will be offering you the choices you need to hear about in order to get the most from your equipment. You will find the arrows, both pre-made and made to order that you should expect of any quality archery department. And, of course, there are all the additional choices of accessories: quivers, releases, heads and such that are necessary to complement your gear.

Fishing Department

The fishing department is Andy's. Here you will find a selection of saltwater and freshwater tackle and lures to maximize your fishing success. Andy is a Cape fisherman, both fly and spin, and has chosen the tackle selection according to what works best here on the Cape. Could you ask for anything better? His personal favorites were published in On The Water magazine as one of the "six best lures" selections. Whether you are looking for: a striper spoon or a trout fly, a start up rod/reel combo or someone to service your reels, Andy is the person to talk to at the Powderhorn outfitters.

Video Target Practice

This has got to be the best idea since silhouette shooting. Think about it. You walk into a sixty foot range and using a custom rifle, pistol, shotgun or even your own bow, you get opportunity after opportunity to spot big game and make your best shot! Twenty or thirty chances in half an hour. This means more game sighted and certainly more game shot at than you could expect to experience in ten years. This video simulation is fantastic practice for the "real world" and a lot of fun too. Of course you aren't balanced in a tree stand or loosing the feeling in your toes from the cold, you aren't even three miles from the car and tired. You will have to find those pleasures elsewhere. On the range you are warm and comfortable and all you have to do is try your best. It's remarkable!

About the owner and the store. Mark Cohen has been in the firearms business on Cape Cod for 22 years. He's not a newcomer to the Cape and he's not a newcomer to providing for the outdoorsman's needs. He knows about hunting, sporting and competition firearms from years of experience and personal involvement. Mark has nearly two decades dedicated to being an active supporter and instructor for local youth programs, including: small bore competition and has been an IPSC and PPC shooter himself. You've got to be a sportsman to understand a sportsman's needs, don't you? Furthermore, Mark knows that it takes more than supplying the reloader with quality components, the weekend waterfowler with shotshells or the archer with good arrows to support the sporting community. It takes backing up the right outdoor products with a highly experienced staff that can answer your questions and help you decide what products would best serve your interests.
