The Chickcharnee Hotel is one of Andros' oldest hotels. It offers a dozen rooms in different economical styles from singles to $80 double rooms with air conditioning, bath, tv and a view of the Creek. The hotel restuarant offers all meals and there is a small convenience store on the premises.

It is close by the town, with craft stores, the beverage store and a few variety stores.

 The Chickcharnie is a mythic half bird-half man that lives in the bush and lures inprudent travelers away to be lost.

The Chickcharnie Hotel is a comfortable and economical place to stay that is convenient to the only night life in Fresh Creek, Hank's Place, a bar/restuarant, and located right on the creek where many visiting bonefishers leave directly for the flats or even fish from shore for tarpon, jacks and 'cuda.

 The Lighthouse Hotel and Marina, opposite the Chickcharnee on the south side of the Creek has single and double rooms with bath, tv and air for $85 to $125. There is a small pool, beach nearby and dockage for sail and power craft.
